How can you say
that you love someone
and then just...
stop?

How can you say
that you love someone
and then put them through absolute hell?

Meanwhile you're sitting there in a
good fucking mood
about doing so?!
Do people like that even have a soul?

How can you say
that you love someone
- and honestly believe it -
If you can fall out of love with them
for little to no reason?

how can you say
that you love someone
and not even give them
the benefit of the doubt
or even a chance to change their ways?

How on earth
can you be in relationship with someone
- who you know has trust issues -
and then lie to their face?

How can you say
"I love you"
and think that they're only words?

How can you love someone
and then blame them
for having their own issues?

How can you love someone
and end it
just because they didn't feel secure?

Obviously it's not their fault
for being betrayed
so many times over.

If a person is insecure
- and they talk to you about it
when they do -
it's your job to comfort them
and to see them through;

Not to dump them
and try to find
someone new.


Yes
insecurities can weaken a relationship
-  i realize this -
but you should feel strongly enough
for the other person
to want to make it.

Yes
you have your own problems,
most people do,
but if you truly loved another person
you wouldn't tell them
to keep their feelings
all bottled up
would you?

In a relationship
you have to be selfless
(to an extent)
you have to be comforting
you have to be affectionate
and careful
and considerate of the other person's feelings;

You have to be supportive,
you have to be loyal,
and you have to be loving.
sometimes you must be repetitive
but,
if there's one thing that you must always be,
it is dedicated to the other person.


How can you love someone
and tell them to trust you,
while you watch them fall
so very hard for you...

And when you end it,
you say it with a smile
as you watch them wallow
in what used to be
your love for them.

But those memories
were of a different you;
Those good times
that you know
they hold dear
were when
you told
the truth.
